friday projects

At rainy greyish afternoons like today
a simple and stylish DIY project, some good music and beautiful
accessories really make me smile...

A little while ago (see here)  I told you about a quick and stylish decoration idea
by creating some splashed (Easter) eggs.
When I did some shopping this week I bought some pingpong balls and thought it
would be fun to do some splashing and ink painting again and to create some
simple new styling accessories for my home!

The opportunity came this afternoon, it was raining and
at the same time it was a perfect moment to test my new night cable from
Native union and to enjoy the latest summer hits while I was painting!
The cable was just perfect... it's 3 meters long and looks very stylish...
I wasn't familiar with the products of Native Union but the quality and the looks are
definately very attractive and a perfect styling partner
to photograph todays little DIY project ;-)
The simple can be so beautiful... Wish you all a Happy Weekend!

creativity + love

An apartment bathed in light with windows in two directions,
located in a unique factory building in industrial design from the early 1900s
filled with stunning still lifes, artwork and beautiful original details
in natural and warm monochrome tones...

This small creative home inspired me from the very first moment that I
saw it at Entrance and I hope this will happen to you too!

ceramic love - trunk vase and stump mug

.
beautiful unique pieces,
pure and raw,
made by hand in a very small scale...

Oh how I fell in love with these beautiful ceramics designed
by Jinjin a Japanese ceramic artist when I visited the inspiring blog of
Sonja Maria Rettensteiner a while ago and read her story about
her discovery of this talented street artist in Paris.

It's so great when talented people work together and
create an amazing and inspiring story...
Definately on my wishlist: Trunk vase and stump mug

The Copenhagen cityguide - Cereal

Cereal Magazine has celebrated the launch of their Copenhagen Guidebook
in Muuto´s stunning showroom about two weeks ago and I can't stop looking
at these inspiring photos. You might have seen them at other blogs but
I think they're to beautiful not to be shared on my blog...

The Cereal guidebooks were showcased surrounded by a selection of
Muuto furniture and products and a few fine art prints featuring photos
from the guide were mounted on walls of the showroom that I really would
love to admire before visiting all these selected favourite places
that we can find in the cityguide...

influenced and inspired by the pale colors found in

I love it when the new autumn/winter catalogues are presented...

Ikea x Hay - the movie

I was pleasantly surprised last month by the news about
the exclusive collaboration of Ikea and Danish design company Hay.

Ikea and Hay will work on a brand new collection of interiors
that fits in small spaces and that can have various functions.

Last week I have admired this stunning teaser movie that has been released
to show the materials to be used in their upcoming Ypperlig collection
that will be released the second half of 2017.
Can't wait to admire it!

Notebook love

Who doesn't love a good notebook?
Well I admit I have a huge addiction for minimalistic and stylish ones!
I always have a notebook in my handbag but also a couple at home.
Mostly to write little notes and ideas but also to use them in the stillifes
that you can find in several corners of my home.

So when I read the words "I just love notebooks" at the FB-site of
Triple Pink a few weeks ago my attention was caught immediately.
Triple Pink is a dutch brand founded by creative designer Stella Maye.
In her shop you will find Leather bags, accessories,
fine jewelry and stationary. Not all products are designed by Triple Pink
and when it comes to products, as the notebooks,
that Stella Mae really likes herself you will find it in her shop!

So what do you think of my latest purchase?
The cover of this treasure (by Backstage)
can be used both sides:  one side is black, the other craft.
Inside you will find blanco paper alternated with some craft pages.

Do you like beautiful notebooks as much as I do?
Triple Pink is giving away a notebook... So if you do,
just leave a message below or at my IG account to let us know!
The winner will be announced Wednesday...

Congratulations Ellen (roze.aapjes) :-) you won the beautiful notebook!

Sunday Selection - bloglove

.
I have always admired and followed Annie's inspiring blogs and IG account.
I really love her moodboards and her amazing taste
when it comes to  lifestyle, interior and fashion.

I remember it all started with the rum for tva blog (her editors blog for livingby)
and later her very own inspiration blog All is pretty
Today Swedish stylist Annie Lindgren has started her brand new blog Sunday Selection
where I was welcomed by this amazing moodboard!

a perfect summerhouse

I don't now if it was the amazing view, the nature-oriented design
the large patio with pool and roughcasted façade outside or
the bright open spaces with its stunning raw walls, the color scale and
original and creative details inside that cought my eye...

Maybe it is my need for a holiday break to start this new week
with this perfect Scandinavian home at the countryside of Gotland,
but I do know that I totally crushed on this great home when I saw it
at the always inspiring site of fantastic Frank!

Have a happy new week!
